Tai Chi

5Element Form Tai Chi

5Element Form Tai Chi is based upon the five elements (fire, earth, air/metal, water, and wood) of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The warm up and five simple postures, make this form easy to learn and remember. These simple movements can be easily and incorporated into a daily exercise routine.

Using movements that mimic the flow of the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, bring you body/mind/spirit/heart into balance.  Benefic from the seven Tai Chi principles of centering, focus, coordination, quiet mind, quiet movement, quiet breathing, and quiet smile.  Tai Chi promotes good posture, muscle tone, flexibility, and agility and is a positive, non-violent way of releasing excess energy and aggression.

Sifu Vanessa F. Hurst, ms, teaches 5Element Form Tai Chi, the Sky Story, and qi gong movements. She has practiced Tai Chi for 17 years and has taught it for 15 years.
